حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيُّ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ: كَيْفَ كَانَ خُلُقُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَهْلِهِ؟ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا، لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا، وَلَا مُتَفَحِّشًا، وَلَا سَخَّابًا بِالْأَسْوَاقِ، وَلَا يُجْزِئُ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ مِثْلَهَا، وَلَكِنْ يَعْفُو وَيَصْفَحُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) had the best character among all people; he was neither indecent in action or speech, nor did he raise his voice in the markets, and he did not repay evil with evil, rather he would forgive and overlook.
