حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مُعْتَكِفًا وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ، قَالَتْ فَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ، وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَعَتَبَةُ الْبَابِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) observed i'tikaf, he would only enter the house due to a human need, and he would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would wash it while the door frame stood between me and him.
