حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ (٢) " أَكْثَرُ صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ مِنَ السَّنَةِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ كُلَّهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) fasting abundantly in the month of Sha'ban; I did not see him fasting so much in any other month. The Prophet (ﷺ) used to fast almost the entire month, leaving only a few days.
