Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عُرْوَةُ، إِنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ " لِتَعْلَمَ يَهُودُ أَنَّ فِي دِينِنَا فُسْحَةً إِنِّي أُرْسِلْتُ بِحَنِيفِيَّةٍ سَمْحَةٍ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that one day the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Jews should know that there is great flexibility in our religion, and I have been sent with the pure religion of Hanifiyyah.
