Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَنْ (٢) يُصَلِّيَ لِلنَّاسِ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَكَانَ يُصَلِّي لَهُمْ " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during his final illness, the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the people in prayer, so he led the people in prayer.
