حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يُوتِرُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَتْ: كَانَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةَ بِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ، وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abdul Aziz bin Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) which surahs the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite in Witr. She replied: In the first rak'ah, "Sabbih isma rabbika al-a'la," in the second, "Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun," and in the third, "Qul huwa Allahu ahad," and he would also recite the Mu'awwidhatayn.
