Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, at night, the family of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a leg of a goat to us. I took it, and the Prophet (ﷺ) broke it, and this was done without a lamp. If we had a lamp, we would have used it to get the gravy. And sometimes a whole month would pass over the family of Muhammad (ﷺ) in such a way that they would neither bake any bread nor cook any stew.
