Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَيْ أُمَّهْ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَتْ: " نَعَمْ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَ فَرْجَهُ، وَيَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) wished to sleep in a state requiring ghusl, he would wash his private parts and perform ablution as for prayer.
