Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: سُرِقَتْ مِخْنَقَتِي فَدَعَوْتُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تُسَبِّخِي عَلَيْهِ، دَعِيهِ بِذَنْبِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a thief committed theft in her house, and she cursed him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do not make light of his sin."
