حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَلْيَنَمْ، فَلَعَلَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرَ فَيَسُبَّ نَفْسَهُ " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you feels drowsy, he should go to sleep, because it is possible that while seeking forgiveness he may (unknowingly) start cursing himself.
