Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ أَيْقَظَنِي فَأَوْتَرْتُ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would pray at night while I would be lying between him and the Qiblah, and when he wanted to pray Witr, he would wake me up as well and I would also pray Witr.
