حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ، فَيَغْتَسِلُ بَعْدَمَا يَطْلُعُ الْفَجْرُ، ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صِيَامَهُ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that if during the night ghusl (ritual bath) became obligatory upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and he intended to fast, he would complete his fast by performing ghusl after the break of dawn.
