Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ يَعْنِي الدَّسْتُوَائِيَّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ " أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ " قَالَتْ: " نَعَمْ "، وَلَكِنْ كَانَ " يَتَوَضَّأُ مِثْلَ وُضُوءِ الصَّلَاةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) wished to sleep in a state requiring ghusl (ritual bath), he would perform ablution (wudu) as is done for prayer.
