حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ (٤) : " إِنَّمَا نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُحَصَّبَ لِيَكُونَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ، وَلَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ نَزَلَهُ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ لَمْ يَنْزِلْهُ (٥) " (٦)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that staying at the place of "Abtah" is not a Sunnah. Rather, the Prophet (ﷺ) stayed there only because it was easier to depart from that side, so whoever wishes may stay there and whoever wishes may not.
