Translation

English translation

Abdullah bin Abi Qais says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the two rak'ahs after Asr, so she replied that in fact the Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer two rak'ahs after Zuhr. One day the Prophet (ﷺ) became occupied with some work until the time for Asr arrived. After offering the Asr prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) performed these two rak'ahs in my house, and then until the end (of his life), the Prophet (ﷺ) never abandoned them. Abdullah says that then I asked the same question to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), so he replied that at first we used to offer this prayer, but later we abandoned it.
