حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ يَعْنِي أَبَا الْعَلَاءِ الْقَصَّابَ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ الرُّكُوعَ قَامَ، فَقَرَأَ قَدْرَ عَشْرِ آيَاتٍ، أَوْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ (٢) " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the blessed body of the Prophet (ﷺ) became heavy, the Prophet (ﷺ) would perform as much prayer as Allah willed while sitting, and when he wanted to bow (ruku), he would stand and recite ten or more verses, then after reciting them, he would go into ruku.
