Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ أُرَجِّلُهُ، وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ بَيْتَهُ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to observe i'tikaf and would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would comb it. Except for human need, the Prophet (ﷺ) would not enter the house.
