حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ خَالَتِهِ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِالشِّرْكِ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ " (١) فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ،
Translation
English translation
Bahz narrated to us, he said: Salim ibn Hayyan narrated to me, he said: Sa'id narrated to us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrating from his maternal aunt Aisha, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "If it were not that your people have only recently left disbelief, I would have demolished the Ka'bah," and he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Ibn Mahdi.
