قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يُونُسَ، مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ (٢) صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَمَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ، أَنْ أَكْتُبَ لَهَا مُصْحَفًا، قَالَتْ: إِذَا بَلَغْتَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ، فَآذِنِّي: {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} [البقرة: ٢٣٨] قَالَ: فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُهَا آذَنْتُهَا، فَأَمْلَتْ عَلَيَّ: " حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ " ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Yunus, who was the freed slave of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), says: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) ordered me to write a copy of the Noble Qur'an for her, and she said: When you reach this verse, "Guard strictly the prayers, especially the middle prayer," then inform me. So when I reached there, I informed her. She had me write this verse: "Guard strictly the prayers, especially the middle prayer and the Asr prayer, and stand before Allah with devotion," and she said: I heard this verse from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in this way.
