Original Arabic
قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ أَفْلَحَ أَخَا أَبِي الْقُعَيْسِ جَاءَ يَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيْهَا - وَهُوَ عَمُّهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ - بَعْدَ أَنْ نَزَلَ الْحِجَابُ. قَالَتْ: فَأَبَيْتُ أَنْ آذَنَ لَهُ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرْتُهُ بِالَّذِي صَنَعْتُ، " فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آذَنَ لَهُ عَلَيَّ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the brother of Abu Qais, "Aflah," who was her foster uncle, sought permission to enter the house of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) after the revelation of the verse of hijab. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) considered him a non-mahram and refused to grant permission. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, she mentioned this to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allow him to enter."
