حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْروِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، يُحَدِّثُ: عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا، إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا دَرَجَةً، أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا (١) خَطِيئَةً " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whenever a thorn pricks a Muslim or he suffers any affliction even less than that, then in return, one of his ranks is elevated and one of his sins is forgiven.
