حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَبَهْزٌ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ - قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ، وَبَهْزٌ: أَخْبَرَنِي شُعْبَةُ - عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ - قَالَ بَهْزٌ: ابْنُ وَرْدَانَ، وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا - عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: تُوُفِّيَ مَوْلًى لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِيرَاثِهِ، فَقَالَ: " هَاهُنَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ قَرْيَتِهِ؟ "، قَالَ بَهْزٌ، قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " فَأَعْطُوهُ إِيَّاهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a freed slave of the Prophet (peace be upon him) fell from a date palm tree and died. He left behind some inheritance but did not leave any children or friends. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Give his inheritance to a man from his village."
