حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِىءٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: رَكِبَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَعِيرًا، فَكَانَ (١) مِنْهُ صُعُوبَةٌ، فَجَعَلَتْ تُرَدِّدُهُ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَكُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Shurayh al-Harithī (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) rode a she-camel on which no one had ever ridden before. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to her: "ʿĀʾishah! Fear Allah and make gentleness obligatory upon yourself, for gentleness, whenever it is in something, makes it beautiful, and whenever it is removed from something, makes it ugly and defective."
