حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَائِشَةَ: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ، وَيَخِيطُ ثَوْبَهُ، وَيَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ كَمَا يَعْمَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي بَيْتِهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Urwah narrates that someone asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "What did the Prophet (ﷺ) do in his house?" She replied, "He did what any one of you does. The Prophet (ﷺ) would mend his own sandals and patch his own clothes himself."
