حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ، قَالَ:، ، سَأَلْتُ (١) عَائِشَةَ: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَتْ لِي: " رُبَّمَا (٢) اغْتَسَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ، وَرُبَّمَا نَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ، وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ " قَالَ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الدِّينِ (٣) سَعَةً (٤)،
Translation
English translation
Yahya bin Ya'mar says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Tell me, would the Prophet (peace be upon him) sleep in a state of janabah?" She replied, "Sometimes he would perform ghusl before sleeping, and sometimes he would sleep before performing ghusl, but he would perform wudu (ablution)." I said, "Praise be to Allah who has made the religion spacious."
