حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، حَدَّثَتْهَا: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَرْقُدُ مِنْ لَيْلٍ وَلَا نَهَارٍ، فَيَسْتَيْقِظُ إِلَّا اسْتَاكَ قَبْلَ الْوُضُوءِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that whenever the Prophet woke up from sleep, whether it was during the night or day, he would certainly use the miswak.
