حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَعَرَفْتُ فِي وَجْهِهِ أَنْ قَدْ حَفَزَهُ شَيْءٌ، فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَلَمْ يُكَلِّمْ أَحَدًا، فَدَنَوْتُ مِنَ الْحُجُرَاتِ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ: مُرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَانْهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَدْعُونِي فَلَا أُجِيبُكُمْ، وَتَسْأَلُونِي فَلَا أُعْطِيكُمْ، وَتَسْتَنْصِرُونِي، فَلَا أَنْصُرُكُمْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to me, and I sensed from the face of the Prophet (ﷺ) that there was some distress in his mood. The Prophet (ﷺ) performed ablution and left without speaking to anyone. I went near the chambers and listened, and the Prophet (ﷺ) was saying: O people! Allah Almighty says: Enjoin good and forbid evil before the time comes when you call upon Me and I do not accept your prayers, you ask of Me and I do not grant you anything, and you seek help from Me and I do not help you.
