Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) told a story to his pure wives at night. One woman said, "O Messenger of Allah! This story seems like the tale of Khurafa." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do you know who Khurafa was? Khurafa was a man from Banu Udhra whom a jinn had imprisoned during the time of ignorance, and that man lived among them for a long time. Then those people left him among humans, and he used to narrate to people the astonishing things he had seen there. From there, people started saying, 'It is the story of Khurafa.'"
