حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا، فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ صَنَعْتُ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَفْعَلْهُ، دَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ، فَأَخْشَى أَنْ يَجِيءَ الرَّجُلُ (٣) مِنْ أُفُقٍ مِنَ الْآفَاقِ، فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ دُخُولَهُ، فَيَرْجِعُ وَفِي نَفْسِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ " (٤)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to me and said: I had entered the Ka'bah, then I thought that I should not have done so because I fear that in this way I might have put my Ummah into hardship after me.
