حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهُ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَذُهِبَتْ (٢) بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقِيلَ: إِنَّهُ مِنْ لَحْمِ الصَّدَقَةِ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ، وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once some meat given as charity came to Barirah from somewhere. She sent it to the Prophet (ﷺ) as a gift. The Prophet (ﷺ) was informed that this meat was from charity. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It was charity for her, but now it has become a gift for us."
