English translation

Lamis says that once I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether a woman applies oil to gain her husband's love. She replied, "Keep away from yourself that which Allah Almighty does not look upon with mercy." Then a woman addressed Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) by saying "Mother," so she said, "I am not your mother, rather I am your sister." And she said that in the first twenty days of Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) would both sleep and pray, but when the last ten days began, the Prophet (ﷺ) would strive hard and tighten his waistcloth.
