حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: " صَلِّ، إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمَكَ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ إِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Shurayh says: I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the ruling of making up a missed prayer after Asr prayer. She replied: You can perform it. The Prophet (ﷺ) had forbidden your people, meaning the people of Yemen, from offering voluntary prayers at the time of sunrise.
