حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the pure wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) were in their menstrual periods, the Prophet (ﷺ) would have intimacy with his wives over the waist-wrapper, and when the Prophet (ﷺ) wished to sleep in a state requiring ghusl (ritual bath), he would perform ablution as for prayer.
