Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Jibreel (peace be upon him) promised the Prophet (ﷺ) to come at a certain time. The Prophet (ﷺ) waited for him at the appointed time, but when he did not come, the Prophet (ﷺ) went outside the house and saw that he was standing at the door. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I kept waiting for you according to your promise." He replied, "There is a dog inside the house, and we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or pictures." In fact, there was a puppy under the bed of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). By the order of the Prophet (ﷺ), it was immediately taken out, and in the morning the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered the killing of dogs.
