حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْوَرْدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ،، ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: ذُكِرَ لَهَا: أَنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَجُلٍ كَافِرٍ: " إِنَّهُ لَيُعَذَّبُ وَأَهْلُهُ يَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Someone mentioned to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the deceased is punished because of the weeping of his family over him. So Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said this regarding a disbeliever, that at that time he is being punished and his family is weeping over him.
