English translation

Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether a man who sends his sacrificial animal (hadi) should abstain from all those things from which a person in the state of ihram abstains? Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: I used to braid the collars of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) sacrificial animals with my own hands. While she was narrating this hadith, I heard the sound of her hands from behind the curtain. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) would stay among us as a non-muhrim (not in the state of ihram).
