Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: " كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ، فَيَأْخُذُهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي، وَأَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ، فَيَأْخَذُهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes a vessel would be presented to the Prophet (ﷺ), I would be in my menstrual period and would drink from it, then the Prophet (ﷺ) would take it and place his mouth at the same spot where I had placed my mouth and drunk from. In the same way, I would take a bone and eat its meat, and the Prophet (ﷺ) would take it and place his mouth at the same spot where I had placed my mouth and eaten from.
