حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُنَادِيَ، قَالَ: " أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) heard the muezzin giving the call to prayer, he would recite: "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah."
