Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that some people used to endure great hardship in worship. The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade them, saying: "By Allah, I know Allah more than all of you and I fear Him more than all of you." And he used to say: "Take upon yourselves only as much as you are able to do, for Allah will not tire, but you will tire."
