Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَرْقُدُ لَيْلًا وَلَا نَهَارًا، فَيَسْتَيْقِظُ، إِلَّا تَسَوَّكَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) woke up from sleep, whether during the night or day, he would certainly use the miswak.
