حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَثْنَى عَلَيْهَا، فَأَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاءَ، قَالَتْ: فَغِرْتُ يَوْمًا، فَقُلْتُ: مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَذْكُرُهَا حَمْرَاءَ الشِّدْقِ، قَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، قَالَ: " مَا أَبْدَلَنِي اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، قَدْ آمَنَتْ بِي إِذْ كَفَرَ بِي (١) النَّاسُ، وَصَدَّقَتْنِي إِذْ كَذَّبَنِي النَّاسُ، وَوَاسَتْنِي (٢) بِمَالِهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِي النَّاسُ، وَرَزَقَنِي اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَدَهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِي أَوْلَادَ النِّسَاءِ " (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
Narrated from Aisha that whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned Khadijah, he would praise her greatly. One day, I felt jealous and said, "Do you keep mentioning that red-gummed woman so frequently, when Allah has given you better wives in her place?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah has not given me a better wife than her. She believed in me when people were disbelieving, she affirmed my truth when people were denying me, she supported me with her wealth when people kept me away, and Allah granted me children from her when I did not have children from any other wife."
