Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to stand in prayer for such a long time that his blessed feet would become swollen. Once she said, "O Messenger of Allah! Why do you exert yourself so much when Allah has forgiven your past and future sins?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "O Aisha! Should I not be a grateful servant?"
