حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا، وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that in the night prayer, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would stand for a long time and would also sit for quite a while. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would recite, bow, and prostrate while standing, and he would also recite, bow, and prostrate while sitting.
