حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا يَبْدَأُ بِهِ إِذَا دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ السِّوَاكَ، وَآخِرُهُ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would enter his house at night, the first thing he would do was use the miswak, and when he would leave the house, the last thing he would do before leaving was to perform the two rak'ahs before Fajr.
