Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah! Will any friend remember his friend on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "O Aisha! Absolutely not at three places: first, at the scale of deeds, until it is determined whether his scale of good deeds is heavy or light; second, at the time when every person will be given his book of deeds, whether it comes in his right hand or left hand; and third, when a neck will emerge from Hell, it will attack them in fury and rage and will say three times, 'I have been appointed over three kinds of people: I have been appointed over the one who associated partners with Allah, I have been appointed over the one who did not believe in the Day of Reckoning, and I have been appointed over every tyrant and rebellious person.' Then it will seize them and throw them into the darkness of Hell. And there will be a bridge over Hell, thinner than a hair and sharper than the edge of a sword, upon which there will be hooks and thorns that will catch whomever Allah wills. Then some people will pass over it in the blink of an eye, some like lightning, some like the wind, some like fast horses, and some like other riders. And the angels will be saying, 'O Lord! Save, save.' In this way, some people will be saved unharmed, some will be saved after being wounded, and some will fall on their faces into Hell."
