Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray thirteen rak'ahs at night and would mostly pray standing, but when he became older and his body became heavier, he started praying mostly while sitting. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) was praying, I would be lying on the same bed in front of him on which the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to rest, and when he intended to pray Witr, he would pinch me and I would also get up and pray Witr. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) would lie down. When he heard the call to prayer, he would get up and pray two light rak'ahs, then rest his side on the ground, and after that, he would proceed for the prayer.
