Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that sometimes when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray at night, I would be lying between him and the Qiblah.
