Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me during his illness of death to spend the gold that was with us. After recovering, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "O Aisha! What happened to that gold?" She brought some gold coins, numbering between seven and nine. The Prophet (peace be upon him) began turning them over in his hand and said, "With what expectation will Muhammad (peace be upon him) meet Allah while these gold coins are still with him? Spend them."
