Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنِ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " لَمَّا حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَصْحَابُنَا الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ يَشْرَبُونَهَا؟ " فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {لَيْسَ عَلَى، ، الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوا} [المائدة: ٩٣] (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that `Abdul-Azeez bin Rufai' said: Someone told me who heard Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) say:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not halt between ‘Arafah and Muzdalifah except to pass water.
