Original Arabic
قَالَ عَبْد اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: " وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ "، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ،، ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ يَتَحَرَّى صَوْمَ شَعْبَانَ، وَصَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to especially fast in the month of Sha'ban and on Mondays and Thursdays.
